My First Ever Modern Calligraphy Workshops
Yes, this much awaited day finally arrive and I'm able to check this off my calligraphy bucket list! Actually, from my overall bucket list.. Public speaking isn't exactly my forte so I am extremely nervous about the whole thing.
I have to thank Aysha from West Elm Santa Monica who took the leap of faith with me, Jess from Black Label Decor who did all the awesome laser-cut goodies, Lara from Lara Lam Photography for the amazing documentation from this class, and everyone who show up and trusted me to guide them in their calligraphy journey!
It's pretty unreal to think that it's been a little less than a year since I first picked up the nibs. Not too long ago it was me on the other end of the table, struggling to get those pen and nib to work in my favor. This past year have been a whirlwind yet enlightening journey and I'm very excited to see what the future will bring. I felt like I grow up so much; as a person, an artist, and a business owner! Never thought I could say the last one :)
Back to the workshop, I'm very excited on how dedicated everyone was! We went through some of the basics and I'm so proud that they were able to do letters and basic phrases by the end of the class! Aysha and I actually have to pry them out of their chairs because the it's the closing time of the store!
